Resurfacing
Donald Bohning & Associates were selected by the City of Westlake to prepare plans to retrofit two municipal stormwater detention basins to enhance water quality functions. Bohning provided survey, plan preparation and construction administration services for the project.
Project Overview
Project goals were to address documented impairments in the Cahoon Creek watershed. Project design restored riparian vegetation, prevented erosion, and improved water quality. Native wetland vegetation will uptake nutrients and breakdown contaminants in stormwater runoff from the urbanized watershed.
